Meet The Black Bat

The Wiesmann has never looked badder than this. Now tuned up to 600hp, this will fly like a bat out of…

Wiesmanns are rare beauties today that stick to the traditional roadster layout. This example – number 9 amongst 30 (including the GT versions, total of 55) custom made models – originally came in a shiny outfit in silver metallic.

Germany-based SchwabenFolia has given it an extra matte black which is not confined only to the outer skin but also includes the gas tank cover. The door panels, engine room and the inner hood, as well as the trunk along with the inner flap are completely wrapped. The originally matte black Wiesmann emblems are replaced with contrasting chrome ones. And if you look closely – yes, that is Batman’s logo.

The 507 hp V10 BMW M5 engine has been tweaked by the Swiss company Dähler. With a new intake system, various optimizations to the engine and transmission, 3-way catalytic converters and a dual exhaust double-flow stainless steel sport mufflers – the power has gone up 600 hp.

Those BBS wheels measure 20″x10″ with 285/30R20 tyres on the front and 20″x11.5″ with 325/25ZR20 at the back. Braking is provided by Brembo 6-piston fixed calipers biting 308 mm perforated compound brake rotora up front and 4-piston calipers on 380 mm in the rear. Weighing just 1395 kg, it takes only 3.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and 10 seconds to hit the 200 km/h limit. SchwabenFolia says it is still possible to hit 321 km/h!
