Step into a Bygone Era with the Unchanged 1971 Ford F-250 Time Capsule

It wasn’t too long ago that buying a running decades-old F-Series truck involved shelling out a few thousand dollars, but times have changed. Yet, the $28,000 asking price is in keeping with the market according to NADA guides, and recent Bring A Trailer listings say mostly the same thing.

Interestingly, the MSRP for an F-250 in 1971 started at $3,214, which works out to about $22,400 today. That’s a far cry from the $40,000 price of admission for a new F-250 Super Duty and, instead, will get you a base Ford Maverick without options
